Dear ASPE Chapter Legislative Vice Presidents and Presidents:

On behalf of Society Vice President, Legislative David E. DeBord, CPD, LEED AP, and Cyril F. Unger, CPD, FASPE, Chair of the ASPE Legislative Committee, I would like to bring to your attention IAPMO’s call for public comments on proposed changes to the IAPMO Green Plumbing and Mechanical Code Supplement. The ASPE Legislative Committee is currently reviewing the proposed changes to determine if ASPE will be submitting comments, and the Committee is requesting your help by obtaining feedback from your Chapter members on the proposed changes.

You may download the proposed changes here.

One of ASPE's critical purposes is to play an active role in ensuring that codes and standards meet minimum sound engineering practices, so your input is critical. Any comments or recommended modifications to the proposed changes need to be submitted to me no later than October 20 to give the Committee sufficient time to develop ASPE's final positions. Please submit your Chapter’s feedback directly to me at jkendzel@aspe.org, and I will forward it to the Legislative Committee for consideration.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Jim Kendzel, MPH, CAE
